Atlanta is home to a series of coding bootcamps developed by Trilogy Education Services and the Georgia Institute of Technology. These immersive web development coding bootcamps are available as part or full-time courses, and these courses cover a range of programming material. Georgia Tech’s coding bootcamps are fashioned off the same model used elsewhere by Trilogy Education Services, but each course is approved by the institute. Graduates of the coding bootcamp at Georgia Tech receive a coding certificate from the school, as well as access to career services and resources. Georgia Tech’s coding bootcamps are available to both students and non-students, and no prior coding experience is necessary to be admitted into the program. Georgia Tech also offers a data analytics bootcamp, a UX/UI design bootcamp, and a data analytics bootcamp, which is available on a part-time schedule.
The full stack web development coding bootcamp at the Georgia Institute of Technology is available in full and part-time schedules. The UX/UI (user experience/user interface) bootcamp, data analytics bootcamp, and the cybersecurity bootcamp are only available in part-time schedules. The full-time web development course runs for 12 weeks, from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM. This is an accelerated program, designed for students seeking the shortest possible path through a web development education at the bootcamp. The part-time program schedule is less intensive, requiring a three-day-per-week commitment. Part-time students attend classes for 24 weeks, spending two weekdays in class from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Students can choose to attend weekday classes on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.
At this time, Trilogy Education Services and Georgia Tech’s bootcamp do not publish job placement or student outcome data. However, the program does offer career services to all students during the program. Additionally, students can use the experience they gain during the program to help create an entry-level portfolio before entering the workforce.
In the United States, coding bootcamps generally cost between $8,000 and $20,000 with exceptions across the board. Georgia Tech’s full-time and part-time programs cost $10,000 for the entire program. For the price, students receive a spot in the course. All courses at the Georgia Tech coding bootcamp cost $10,000 as of 2019.
